Master of Science in Applied Modelling: Data Science & Analytics
Students learn the tools and techniques needed to handle and analyze complex data sets across various scientific and social science fields.
Program Overview
The Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Computer Engineering is a course-based graduate program which prepares its graduates for further post-graduate study or for careers as Computer Engineers in sectors such as telecommunications, information technology, software development, and digital hardware design.
The degree will provide participants with a balanced background in computer hardware and software and an in-depth knowledge of important applications areas, such as software development, hardware design, telecommunication systems, computer networks, and parallel computing.

Fast Track Option
Students registered in academic term 7 of an undergraduate engineering degree at Memorial University are eligible to apply for admission to the M.Eng. fast track option. This option has been put in place to encourage students interested in pursuing graduate studies to begin their research-related activities while still registered as an undergraduate student.
While enrolled in this option, a student may complete some of the M.Eng. degree requirements and potentially graduate earlier from the M.Eng. program. Students who have completed the program agree that finishing a master's degree in a shorter period of time is a significant advantage.
Enrollment details:
- Enroll in the fast-track option in the fall semester prior to academic term 8
- Receive an exemption from work term 6
- Register in full-time graduate studies in the fall prior to term 8
- Take a leave of absence from the graduate program during academic term 8 to complete the B.Eng.
Fees: Graduate fees apply during the fall semester (term 7), and undergraduate fees apply during the winter semester (term 8).
Upon completion of the undergraduate program, students may register full-time in the M.Eng. program. All graduate courses taken during fast-track enrollment are credited toward the M.Eng. degree. Courses used for the undergraduate degree cannot be double-counted for the graduate degree, and vice versa.
Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission to the MASc in Computer Engineering program, applicants must normally have a second-class degree in:
